Volume counters, which we all know from filling stations, are out of the question for decision-makers when it comes to the industrial application of larger lubricant quantities: They are often failure-prone and require programming – too great a risk for efficient assembly.
In terms of process reliability, the volumetric dosing valve stations offered by ABNOX are hard to beat. When you want to implement fixed lubrication stations quickly and easily in a synchronised assembly line, you are sure to find the appropriate solution to any problem for the application of larger lubricant quantities at ABNOX.
Integrated sensors
On the dosing valve stations which can be controlled pneumatically, the volume is precisely and infinitely adjustable with a dosing screw: This product family, which is in demand around the world, covers application quantities from 2 cm³ to 500 cm³ – which corresponds to half a litre.
The benefits: The robust dosing valve stations made by ABNOX are pressure-resistant up to 200 bar and have integrated sensors that monitor the dosing process. The stations have a hydraulic sensor and/or a pneumatic sensor, depending on the version. While the hydraulic sensor detects the end position of the grease piston in the grease chamber, the pneumatic sensor determines the end position of the pneumatic piston in the pneumatic chamber. For ultimate process reliability, the station with both sensors identifies both the start and the end of the process.
Broad range of applications
The range of applications for the dosing valve stations extends from filling cartridges to the automated lubrication of commercial vehicle steering knuckles or camshaft gearing stubs. In general terms, the stations are used wherever gearings, axles, roller bearings, inner surfaces of cylinders or shaft seals have to be lubricated with a high repeat accuracy over numerous cycles. They also handle the dosing of high-viscosity media without difficulty.
Control via an (external) 5/2-way valve is triggered electro-pneumatically by a control unit or mechanically by a manually operated pneumatic valve. The largest dosing valve stations are also available without sensors, with manual switching or a pneumatic rotary drive.
