Dot application is no longer perceived individually but as a growing “bead” because the impulses follow each other in such a rapid sequence. The AXDV-P Impulse Valve from ABNOX reaches up to 200 cycles per second, dosing low to high-viscosity lubricants at a material pressure of up to 35 bar.
The high-performance valve has a dynamic needle that is opened quickly using compressed air and then promptly pushed back into its seat by a spring. This results in short opening and closing times as well as a high dosing speed for short cycle times – ideal for synchronised assembly that requires high process speeds and consistent lubricating processes.
Versatile in application
The AXDV-P Impulse Valve is suitable for applications in sectors such as automotive engineering, electronics, the white goods industry and drive technology . It supports a very broad range of applications: From dynamic minimal quantities to jet dosing, the valve is capable of the perfect synchronisation of dosing volumes. The contactless and therefore scratch-free application of lubricating oil or lubricating grease to rotating parts such as gear wheels is typical. Depending on the application, either the component to be lubricated moves (with a fixed dosing station), or the impulse valve is mounted on a moving handling system or robot.
Key advantages of the AXDV-P:
- Short cycle times, fast and precise lubrication
- No feed motion required
- Contactless operation is gentle on components
Optional pressure sensor
Thanks to the compact design, the lightweight impulse valve can be integrated into any production plant. Its modular construction with replaceable nozzle and dosing needle makes it flexible for specific adaptations according to customer needs. The AXDV-P can be equipped with a pressure sensor to monitor the dosing process. This permits the detection of air pockets in the grease. The possibilities resulting from the control of the AXDV-P Impulse Valve are ingenious: All parameters including the opening time, closing time, pause time etc. are precisely adjusted to the desired dosing process for ideal application.
Valve heating add-on module
Since the temperature in most factory buildings changes with the seasons, ABNOX recommends valve heating. This reduces the lubricant viscosity and brings it to the suitable state for application. Users therefore benefit from stable processes, both in summer at 40 degrees and in winter at 15 degrees.
