A nice office with up to date IT equipment, sufficient space and a friendly atmosphere.
Confidence in and appreciation of the next generation are practised at ABNOX. Trainees are part of productive processes from day one. That generates added value for all. Simon Depping, commercial trainer at ABNOX, explains: “We value Steffi’s unbiased perspective, taking it into account in the continuous optimisation of our processes, as we generally do with the inputs of new employees.” Stephanie on the other hand benefits from interesting training with a sophisticated programme, now offered by ABNOX for the fourth time. By now, all teams are intimately familiar with support and the integration of trainees.
Included in creative processes
At ABNOX, Stephanie quickly gets the opportunity to take on smaller projects. Aside from the in-house exhibition, she organises the trade fair presentations at Motek and Lubricant in Germany, to a large extent independently. Simon Depping adds: “Thanks to her dedication and commitment, Steffi will learn a lot in various other areas as well.”
But just what makes ABNOX attractive for apprentices? Activities around the world notwithstanding, all processes in the value chain are located at the Cham site. Therefore, trainees experience everything personally: From engineering to purchasing and sales to production to warehousing and logistics. This varied environment is exactly what fascinates young people. Simon Depping continues: “Since our trainees come into contact with the full range of tasks within our company, they gain a better understanding of the relationships.” When a person expresses particular interest, as in Stephanie’s case, they will be exposed to higher-level topics at ABNOX as well – for example, what lean management means and how it is applied. That’s not always the case!
Bringing out the best for trainees
As a traditional company that is passionate about apprenticeships, ABNOX has always been committed to training. To ensure that day-to-day operations are not affected, the vocational trainers voluntarily provide the labour resources required to realise the training. “That is important, ensuring that the training we provide is of high quality,” Simon Depping says in conclusion. His motivation to properly equip trainees for the working world clearly comes from the heart.
In short: ABNOX actively supports its trainees and imparts the maximum knowledge and experiences for their career.
