The following contains information about the type, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the operator of the website www.abnox.com.

This website contains links to other websites. The content and function of these linked websites are the sole responsibility of the respective website operator.

Access data

When you visit our website, our web server stores the following data in “server logfiles” by default:

  • Date of access
  • Volume of data transmitted, in bytes
  • Source/page from where you accessed the site
  • Browser and operating system used
  • Your IP address assigned by your Internet service provider

The collected data are used solely for statistical analysis and to improve our website.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. Google Analytics uses what are known as cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer and allow for analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookies with regard to your use of the website (including your IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google will use this information in order to analyse your use of the website, to prepare reports about web activities for the website operator and to provide further services tied to website usage and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties, insofar as this is prescribed by law or these third parties process the data at Google's request. In no case will Google associate your IP address with other Google Inc. data.

Google Maps

On our websites, we use Google Maps API (Application Programming Interface, "Google Maps") for the visual display of geographical information (maps). Google Maps is operated by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA or, if you are a resident of the European Economic Area or Switzerland, Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. By using Google Maps, information about the use of our websites, including your IP address, is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. It is possible to deactivate the Google Maps service and prevent the transfer of data to Google if you deactivate JavaScript in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you will not be able to use the map display. You can find more information about the collection, processing and use of your data by Google, as well as your rights in this regard, in Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en... as well as in the additional terms of use for Google Maps and Google Earth at https://www.google.com/intl/en_en/help/terms_maps/

Cookies

In the course of using our website and customer applications, we store data packages known as cookies on the user’s computer. This technology is required to identify users and display adapted information and customer applications, and to ensure access to customer data and obtain information about the immediate use. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by configuring their browser data accordingly. However, this can impair the use of our website and customer applications or make using them impossible.

Handling personal data

The website operator collects, uses and transfers your personal data only to the extent permitted by law or with your consent to data collection.

Personal data includes all information that serves to identify you personally and can be traced back to you – for example your name, e-mail address and telephone number.

Handling contact data

If you contact us using the contact form integrated into our website, your information is stored so we can access your enquiry for processing and to reply. The data are not transferred to third parties without your consent.

Newsletter subscription

We offer a newsletter to inform you about current events and offers. You need to provide a valid e-mail address and your first and last name in order to subscribe to the newsletter.

Use of social media plugins

LinkedIn

Plugins of the social network LinkedIn, Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA are integrated on our website. When you visit our website, the plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the LinkedIn server. LinkedIn therefore receives information that you have visited our website, including your IP address. When you click the LinkedIn Share button while you are logged on to your LinkedIn account, you can link the content of our website to your LinkedIn profile. This allows LinkedIn to assign the visit to our website to your user account. Please note that we as the website provider receive no information about the content of the transmitted data or their use by LinkedIn. Further information is found in the LinkedIn data privacy statement under:
http://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

If you do not want LinkedIn to be able to assign your visit to our website to your LinkedIn user account, please log off your LinkedIn user account.

YouTube

The plugins of the YouTube video portal of YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA are integrated on our websites. YouTube LLC is a subsidiary of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Each time you access a page that offers one or more YouTube video clips, a direct connection is established between your browser and a YouTube server in the USA. In the process, information about your visit and your IP address are stored there. By interacting with the YouTube plugins (e.g. clicking the start button), this information is also transmitted to YouTube and stored there. You can find more information on the collection and use of your data by YouTube in the privacy policy of YouTube or Google at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.....

If you have a YouTube user account and do not want YouTube to collect data about you via these websites and link it to your membership data stored with YouTube, you must log out of YouTube before visiting one of our websites.

In addition, YouTube calls up the Google Analytics tracker via an iFrame in which the video is called up. This is YouTube's own tracking, to which we have no access. You can prevent tracking by Google Analytics by using the deactivation tools that Google offers for some Internet browsers. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by Google Analytics and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

Links to our social media presences

On our websites, we have included links to our social media profiles from the following social networks:

  • Instagram, Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025 USA
  • YouTube, a service operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA
  • LinkedIn, LinkedIn Inc., 2029 Stierlin CT, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA

If you click on the relevant social network icons, you will automatically be redirected to our profile on the relevant network. In order to use the functions of the relevant network there, you must partially log into your user account with the relevant network.

When you call up a link to one of our social media profiles, a direct connection is established between your browser and the server of the social network concerned. This provides the network with the information that you have visited one of our websites with your IP address and accessed the link. If you call up a link to a network while you are logged into your account with the network in question, the content of our websites can be linked to your profile with the network, which means that the network can assign your visit to our websites directly to your user account. If you would like to prevent this, you should log out before clicking on the corresponding links. An assignment will take place in any case if you log in to the relevant network after clicking on the link.

Company App

Our employees can view tasks, read CRM details, and manage projects through a special app (developed by Tincan AG, Tincan Digital, Bederstrasse 51, 8002 Zurich, www.tincandigital.ch, digital@tincan.ch). Access to the app is only possible with an employee login.

The app collects and processes personal data of employees as part of its use to provide the mentioned functions. These data are used exclusively for the execution and improvement of the services and are not disclosed to third parties.
By using the app, you agree that your data will be processed as described within the scope of the functions. Tincan AG has the right to publish and operate the app, ensuring data protection in accordance with the applicable Swiss data protection laws.

Information, correction and erasure

On request you are provided with information, free of charge, regarding what personal data about you have been stored. Provided your request does not conflict with a legal obligation to store data (e.g. data preservation), you have a right to the correction of incorrect data and to the blocking or erasure of your personal data.

Changes to the privacy policy

We expressly reserve the right to amend or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. All changes and amendments are at the sole discretion of the company.

Data Privacy Officer

You can contact our Data Privacy Officer regarding all aspects related to personal data: datenschutz@abnox.com.
